Here's The Scoop

Chill Joy is an on-rail shooter, in which the player controls a futuristic flying ice cream machine that they use to fight back against Aliens that are made of ice cream. Chill Joy is made with an arcade feel in mind, what that means is the gameplay features a simple loop of destroying enemies, getting points, increasing combo score, and surviving for as long as possible, then jumping right back into gameplay. The player will have access to three unique ways to defend your home, each with their own ultimate ability!


Flavorful Utility

Vanilla: 

  • Base: rapid fire, low damage
  • Super: straight fire laser beam, one-shot's enemies

Chocolate:

  • Base: semi-auto, high damage
  • Super: for all enemies on screen, freeze all movement and fire-rate

Strawberry:

  • Base: 3-shot burst, high damage. low damage string-shot branches to near-by enemies
  • Super: string-shot branches out to all enemies on screen regardless of distance

Such a fun experience, really reminded me of my arcade days. Workhorse Studio seemed to have put a lot of passion and *work* into this and it really paid off!

I like that pun! I'm sure Workhorse puts a ton of *horse* into their games too!

This game was such a fun one to play. I can't wait to show it to all of my friends... and I wonder what's up next for Workhorse Studio! :D
